The Puckerbrush Primitive Gathering is a yearly event held the third weekend of July on the grounds of the Pleasant River Fish & Game Conservation Association (PRFGCA) in Columbia, Maine. The focus of the gathering is the instruction in and sharing of primitive skills, traditional archery, and bushcraft with learning being a big emphasis .
PRFGCA is located in rural Downeast Maine which is a perfect venue for such an event. In addition to organized activities, fishing, canoeing, and hiking opportunities are available on site.
Saturday evening there will be a pot-luck dinner, followed by a bonfire gathering with story telling and music (feel free to bring an instrument). Telescopes will be set up for astronomy & star gazing pleasure (conditions permitting).
